Bad performance N5550 - commy - 03-25-2018

Hi all!

I have a Thecus N5550 and would like to sync 1 TB over Network to it (over SMB interface).

The issue is the bad performance I get. Only 30 MBit can be transfered (around 3,0-3,5 MB per second).

I tried the following to increase the performance:

- LAN connection on PC (1 GBit)
- Network Link aggregation on Thecus (2 x 1 GBit - not only one port than before)
- Stopping all unnecessary services on Thecus Interface
- Firmware Upgrade on Thecus to newest version (2.06.02.10.cdv)

Nothing changed on the bad performance.

Installed are five ST3000VM002 (3 TB Seagate) hdd and at the moment I used 9000 GB of available 11079 GB.

Do you have any idea how to get a better performance?

Update:

I connected an USB hdd directly to my N5550 and try to sync the files... but I have this bad performance too.

Sad

Dear Sir,

Following check points for your reference:
1. Please ensure it is via cable connection and 1000 Mbps all the way.
2. Please ensure HDD SMART info for HDD health.
3. Disable or remove unused APPs.
4. Small size files would spent huge over head to drop the speed, 1GB 1 file would faster then 1GB 1000 files.
5. Link aggregation without help for this case, thus recommend disable to purify environment.

Hi Yvon,

thanks for your response.

1. 1000 Mbps is all the way connected
2. HDD health is fine
3. Unsued APPs are disabled
4. Bad performance affects also bigger files
5. Thanks for info

Cheers
