[Nextcloud][12.0.3.0] OwnCloud fork
#31
I recommend you to stay on FW 3.01.00.4, otherwise the 3rd party modules which don't have the update available yet in Thecus repository will not start automatically after reboot
http://ftp2.thecus.com/~thecus/download/AutoUpgrade/
I sent a ticket to Thecus for this behaviour but they are in holiday till the next week for new chinese year

I'm still on 3.0.1.00.5.2, and everything is running fine.  Thanks for the tip about things not starting after a reboot.  Right now it's just humming along on my desk, so I don't have to touch it.

Can't get it to work. It says there's no PHP module OpenSSL. That line is in the error.log: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/raid/data/module/apache/sys/lib/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20131226/openssl.so' - /raid/data/module/apache/sys/lib/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20131226/openssl.so: undefined symbol: _php_stream_fill_read_buffer in Unknown on line 0
Can anyone help?

How would I go about downgrading the version? I'm stuck now; can't update apache, so nothing is working.  Confused

I downloaded OS725.rom which would allow rollback to the latest OS5 version.  Could I skip the rollback, and install OS7 3.0.00.7?

Update: Installed OS725.rom, then OS7 3.00.07.4, and everything is running once again!

You can even go to 3.01.00.4
As from 3.01.00.5 i see these issues with 3rd party apps which i hope will be fixed soon by Thecus

Major update found that version, so I did that. It would be nice if Thecus built in the RAM upgrade, so one doesn't have to apply that every time the firmware changes. Thanks for your advice!

What do you mean by" apply every time the firmware change "?

Whenever I apply a firmware update, I have to apply the >3GB RAM fix, as I have 8GB of RAM. That means another restart, and another check that everything is operating correctly. If the N5550 can support up to 8GB of RAM, that support should be written into the OS7 firmware.

I don't think the 3GB ram limit will be removed in any firmware. Thecus have to follow Intel Atom specs which is max 4GB for memory, and 1 GB should be reserved for Local Display module.
But anyone who don't use the HDMI or have 8GB can remove the limit applying the patch as you do.

I saw some discussions about ownCloud being very slow to sync or upload; nextCloud is no better. I added a 41mb file today, and it took over 16 mins to sync, and I have a 150 mb/sec service with cat6 cable linking my devices. I've tried all of the tweaking I could find; do you have any ideas that might help that?
