[rsync][on n4310] configuring file owner
#1
Hi there, I have rsync up and running and can transfer files to my N4310, but the files are always owned by root. I have tried changing /tmp/rsynd.conf for the directory of interest
[dave]
...
uid=nobody
gid=nogroup

but the file seems to be reset to default values (i.e. root) when restarting the NAS. Is there some way to make the files owned by nobody rather than root?
Cheers, Dave

It isn't possible to modify files like rsynd.conf, these indeed will be overwritten after a system reboot.

At the moment we don't have an option to preserve the file/folder ownership while using Rsync.
Kind regards,

Wouter
