N4310 newbie Setup help
#1
Hi i have pruchased an N4310 and i have a 4TB Hard drive installed. I Used the JBOD setting which i thought was the right one i wanted
Now i want to add a second drive (1st drive has data on it) But i dont want to create 1 large virtual disk spanning over 2 disks. I just want 2 separate drives just like it would be in a windows PC
Is this possible at all ? All i see in raid management is JBOD which states it will be created into 1 large volume

So with jbod if 1 drive dies you lose all data on 2 drives correct?
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Dear Sir,

JBOD & RAID0 if any one of HDD deal or offline, and all data will inaccessible, thus we strong recommend choose RAID 1/5/6/50/60, and related RAID information please refer to user'manual from DVD disk or Thecus N2310 downloads.
And you could remove current JBOD/RAID volume from NAS ADMIN WEB page -> RAID MANAGEMENT.
