outkastm Wrote:Please tell me the the steps because i cannot reproduce this issue. On PC you have also the latest version 4.3.0 of CrashPlan ? When is this "Upgrading" message appear ? When you try to connect to NAS or Desktop service ?

I have 4.3.0 on the Desktop. I have 4.3.0 on the NAS. But when it says Upgrading the Desktop initiates the upgrade on the NAS.

I have a paid subscription with an existing backup on CrashPlan, and this Upgrading message appears when I click 'Adopt'.

Here is the latest version: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://download2.code42.com/installs/linux/install/CrashPlan/CrashPlan_4.4.1_Linux.tgz">https://download2.code42.com/installs/l ... _Linux.tgz</a><!-- m -->

If you keep unzipping these you'll eventually end up with the .jars

I managed to get it working with the contents of that file. So I think if you make a new .mod of that, it'll work from scratch for everyone.

vcdechagn Wrote:Any idea how to manually uninstall? I installed this version attempting to test it and it won't start or uninstall. I also can't install an older version because this one is in the way.

SSH into the server and it looks like most of the pieces didn't get installed. There's not much under /raid0/data/module/CrashPlan/sys/crashplan, just an empty log and conf directory.

Tried reinstalling and that didn't work either.
Follow the steps on this post to manually remove a module

EDIT to add
outkast, sorry I missed your post. I found this via google. Thanks for your help Smile

FYI, manual module uninstall can be found here: <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://forum.thecus.com/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=4496&start=0">viewtopic.php?f=70&t=4496&start=0</a><!-- l -->

Here's the code there modified for CrashPlan (case sensitive module name)

First
Code:
rm -rf "/raid/data/module/cfg/module.rc/CrashPlan.rc"
rm -rf "/raid/data/module/CrashPlan"
rm -f "/img/htdocs/module/CrashPlan"

Then
Code:
/opt/bin/sqlite /raid/data/module/cfg/module.db "delete from module where name = 'CrashPlan'"
/opt/bin/sqlite /raid/data/module/cfg/module.db "delete from mod where module = 'CrashPlan'"
