System fan failed

I keep getting System fan failed emails yet when I view the current status of the fan it's OK. I took the unit apart and cleaned the fan out with a blower. It was not very dirty. I continue to get the message, yet the fan is spinning. I also verified that the power supply fan is spinning. I'm running v5.01.04.

I replaced the fan anyways just to make sure it was not the problem and it's still complaining. What exactly goes wrong then when it's not the fan?

As Yvon has indicated, the motherboard is defective: the board's fan-is-turning detector isn't working.

Apps: Too many to count....
