Firmware update for the N4100PRO
#16
Hello All, I recently upgraded the firmware in my THECUS N4100PRO to V5.03.01.2. Since doing this, my SMB connections are questionable.

To resolve my issue I need to either delete the SMB shares and recreate them, or periodically reboot the NAS.

The issue is copying files becomes unstable, such as waiting a long time for the copy to start, and if it does start, it is slow.

Copying from the NAS seems to be more stable than copying to it, but appears slower in general.

Is there a downgrade option, or a firmware 'beta' that adjusts this?

I submitted a ticket a couple days a go, but have heard nothing in return.

Also according to the administration pages of the device, the [5]RAID is healthy, so I don't believe I have faulty drives.

What is the consensus on the firmware upgrade? 5.03.07 to 5.03.01?

Have all the issues been resolved yet?

It's been over a year since the last firmware update. When can we expect some improvements (especially when it comes to SMB) with the next firmware release?

I updated to 5.03.02 and it resolved some issues and created only 1 that I can see involving the system monitor no longer detects the system cpu usage, whereas the status still does. I assume it will be fixed with the next release.

My apologies, I've been busy and didn't see your reply any earlier. I'm downloading the fixed rom version and will try it out. I also should mention that for some reason the system no longer emails me when errors occur within the log. If you've already addressed this issue, I apologize again. If not, maybe you might suggest something I've overlooked in the setup. It did use to work.
