N4100 (not Pro) RAM size, timings & type? HELP!
#1
Hi,

I have an <obviously> out of warranty N4100 (not N4100 Pro) NAS & have tried upgrading the RAM to 1 GB DDR400 PC3200 2.5v CL3.
However, the NAS fails to boot unless I put the original (128 Mb RAM back in) Sad

TBH I've NEVER had any RAM issues, but I understand Thecus use "special" timings for their NAS RAM?

Should I actually be looking at using DDR333 PC2700 instead?

Can anyone please:

1. Confirm what the maximum RAM size is for the N4100?
2. Suggest RAM makes & models to use (what actually WORKS?!)
3. Else what are the RAM timings?

Many thanks in advance.
