OS7? End of Life? Support? Modules??? where are you gone Qoolbox?

Thumbs Down
Hi guys

Been a while... Years... Now I live in the US and brought with me my N5550. Running on 110V just fine Smile

Ok now, if yu like reading complaints, please go on. If not just close this thread.

Since Qoolbox has left the team, I realized there wouldn't be much activity on the modules side. However it's worse than that.
There is no support no more.
No announcements.
Last FW I saw is the 2.06.2.10. Where is OS7 FW download? Where are the docs and warnings about the risks involved in upgrading with data to OS7?

Where are the new modules?
Everything stalled. Everything is broken. Official Aria2 is not working at all. Nothing has been updated for 4 years or more.

I feel like the N5550 has been completely abandoned.

If it's a mean to tell people to trash it and buy a new NAS, let me tell you that my next NAS will be a Synology.

best regards,
Eric

Well, with some of your issues i can help, as long as you have an N5550 look for .cdv info.
Regarding OS5 to OS7 migration, firmware update etc:

http://thecus.kayako.com/Knowledgebase/L...ex/117/os7

For OS7 firmware download, be sure to download .cdv version from the link below

http://ftp2.thecus.com/~thecus/download/AutoUpgrade/

In OS7, official modules are installed through the embedded App Center.

For 3rd party modules, different story.

thank you

since you seem to be up to date, is there any chance that you know where to get the vmdk for OS7? I will certainly need to recompile some modules I made such as mediatomb etc
